The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress in Ekiti state, Dare Bejide, has promised the people of the state a better deal if elected in the 2026 poll.
Bejide, who spoke in Aramoko, Efon-Alaaye, Igede, and Ijero-Ekiti, where he met with traditional rulers and residents ahead of the June 20 governorship poll, said his administration would be driven by fairness, inclusion, and people-centered principles. policies.
The governorship hopeful said that his vision is to address challenges facing Ekiti people, including unemployment, epileptic power supply, and inadequate infrastructure, which he noted have continued to hamper economic growth and reduce the quality of life across the state.
“Ekiti people deserve better living conditions. My government will focus on policies that directly improve livelihoods, create opportunities for youths, and develop our rural communities,” Bejide said.

He assured that his government would prioritise job creation, rural development, and improved service delivery to ensure that governance directly impacts the lives of ordinary citizens.
The ADC candidate further pledged to run a transparent administration that would work closely with the traditional institutions to ensure socio-economic growth and development reach every part of the state.
The governorship candidate noted that it is time for Ekiti South to produce the next governor to correct the long-standing political imbalance in the state and give every part of the state a sense of belonging within the leadership structure.
In his remarks, the Alaaye of Efon-Alaaye, Emmanuel Aladejare, described Bejide as an experienced public servant and urged him to sustain peaceful conduct before, during, and after the governorship poll.
Similarly, the Ajero of Ijero, Oba Joseph Adewole commended the ADC governorship candidate’s understanding of the state’s challenges and advised him to avoid divisive politics, urging all aspirants to prioritize the collective interest of Ekiti above personal ambitions.
