Student leaders under the aegis of the National Association of Nigerian Students have endorsed Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, for a second term in office.
The students, from various institutions and youth bodies, said their decision stemmed from an assessment of projects executed by the Oyebanji administration, which they described as impactful and people-oriented.
The students commenced their tour at the newly constructed Ekiti State Internal Revenue Service headquarters in Ado-Ekiti before visiting other major projects, including the ongoing flyover, the 80-bed hospital at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, facilities within Ekiti State University, the 18.2-kilometre Ring Road Phase 1, and the Ekiti Cargo International Airport.

Speaking on behalf of the students, former South-West Coordinator of NANS, Taiwo Owolewa, said the visit provided an opportunity for students to independently verify government claims on infrastructure delivery.
“Seeing is believing. We came to see things for ourselves, and what we have seen is commendable. These projects are not just on paper; they are visible and impactful. This is why we believe the Governor deserves another term,” he said.
The former student leader maintained that continuity in governance would ensure the completion of ongoing projects and sustain the pace of development witnessed across the state, urging Ekiti people to support Governor Oyebanji.
Owolewa expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, noting that the developments would have long-term benefits for residents and future generations.
He also cited improvements in bursaries, learning facilities, and general support for students as evidence of the Biodun Oyebanji-led administration’s responsiveness to the needs of young people.

The former NANS leader said the administration’s performance across multiple sectors had earned the trust of students across the state.
“We have seen enough to be convinced. The Governor has touched critical sectors, especially education and health, which directly affect students. This is why we are calling on students to support him for a second term,” he said
Similarly, Michael Oluwaseun, President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) in Ekiti State, praised the Governor for fulfilling his promises to the academic community.
Oluwaseun said the endorsement reflected the collective position of students who participated in the tour.
“To be candid, what we have seen speaks for itself. Students will come out to support the Governor based on these visible achievements,” he said.
