The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State has deployed 25 vehicles to bolster grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The vehicles, branded with the names of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Shehu Buba Umar, were donated by the lawmaker representing Bauchi South Senatorial District to support both the president’s re-election bid and his governorship ambition.
Out of the total, 20 buses were distributed to local government chairmen across the state, while two were retained at the state secretariat and three allocated to zonal offices.
Speaking at the handover ceremony at the APC Secretariat in Bauchi, Hon. Aminu Mohammed Danmalaki, who represented the senator, said the initiative was designed to deepen the party’s grassroots presence and enhance its outreach capacity.

He described the gesture as a reflection of Senator Shehu Buba’s commitment to party growth, noting that the lawmaker has also recorded interventions in critical sectors such as health, agriculture, education, employment and security.
Danmalaki further stated that the senator’s grassroots appeal and understanding of local dynamics position him strongly ahead of the 2027 governorship race.
On concerns about internal party disagreements, he acknowledged that such differences are common in a political environment with multiple aspirants but expressed optimism that unity would be restored.
Receiving the vehicles, the Bauchi State APC Chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Hassan Tilde, commended the gesture and assured that they would be effectively utilised to boost mobilisation across the state.
He urged party members to remain united and focused on delivering victory for the APC in the next general elections.
Meanwhile, the party continues to grapple with internal tensions following its recent state congress, which reaffirmed Hassan Tilde as chairman.
The outcome has been contested by some aggrieved members, a development that has stalled the formal inauguration of the state leadership.APC
