As momentum builds ahead of the 2027 general elections, a pro-President Bola Ahmed Tinubu group, the Take Action Campaign for Tinubu (TACT), has indicated plans to purchase the presidential Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for the president’s re-election bid.
In a letter dated April 4, 2026, addressed to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, the group said the initiative is being funded by “well-meaning Nigerians at home and in the diaspora” committed to seeing the administration’s policies fully implemented.

Speaking in Abuja while receiving a solidarity visit from APC women leaders, the National Convener of TACT, Tony Nwulu, said the decision was driven by what he described as “significant and far-reaching reforms” introduced over the past three years.
The group argued that the president’s Renewed Hope Agenda requires a second term to consolidate ongoing economic restructuring and infrastructure development efforts.
“The decision to support President Tinubu for a second term is informed by the bold and transformative policies initiated under his leadership. We believe continuity is essential to fully realise the gains of these reforms,” the group stated in its communication to the party leadership.
TACT acknowledged that some of the administration’s policies have posed short-term challenges but maintained that the president has demonstrated the political will to take difficult decisions in the interest of long-term national stability.

Beyond the planned purchase of nomination forms, the group outlined a broader strategy aimed at securing electoral victory for the incumbent, including grassroots mobilisation and public enlightenment campaigns to improve citizens’ understanding of government policies.
“We call on Nigerians to show greater understanding and cooperation with the government, as these reforms are designed to ultimately improve the socio-economic well-being of all citizens,” the organization added.
The letter, a copy sighted by our correspondent further urged the President to remain undeterred and focused on his administration’s mandate, as the group takes on the responsibility of mobilizing the resources required for the upcoming campaign.
TACT then has called on all citizens to "join hands" with the administration, framing the re-election bid as a collective effort to secure the interest of the masses and the future of the Nigerian state.
Recently youths from Kogi State led by the governor, Ahmed Ododo presented a N100 million cheque to APC National Chairman for the purchase of the expression of interest and nomination forms for the President's second term bid.
