... cites past contributions to constituency’s growth

A group, the Idemili Professionals Forum, has declared support for High Chief Nnamdi Ifebi, a House of Representatives aspirant for the Idemili North and South federal constituency, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement signed by its convener, Amb. Okechukwu Nwachukwu, the forum described Ifebi—who holds the traditional title of Onwa Idemili and is seeking the seat on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC)—as a candidate with a proven record of selfless commitment to the wellbeing of constituents, despite not having held public office.

The group added that such qualities signal his capacity to attract meaningful development to the constituency if elected into the National Assembly.

The statement read, “The political landscape of Idemili North and South is witnessing a defining moment as High Chief Nnamdi Ifebi, the Onwa Idemili, formally signals his intention to offer himself for higher legislative responsibility, bringing with him a refreshing model of leadership anchored on impact, inclusiveness, and vision.

“At a time when public confidence in leadership is often tested by unfulfilled promises and political expediency, High Chief Ifebi emerges as a beacon of hope, one whose track record speaks louder than rhetoric.

“His journey has been marked not by noise, but by measurable impact; not by mere ambition, but by a deep commitment to service.”

The forum however, mirrored Ifebi’s preparedness for service and his impactful engagements as a huge move to change the political narrative in the constituency.

“Widely regarded as The Pace Setter, High Chief Ifebi has consistently demonstrated that leadership is not about occupying positions, but about making those positions meaningful to the people.

“Through sustained grassroots engagement, strategic consultations, and community-driven initiatives, he has shown a profound understanding of the needs and aspirations of the Idemili people.

“In furtherance of this vision, High Chief Nnamdi Ifebi will be contesting for the federal legislative seat under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), a party whose ideals resonate with his commitment to inclusive governance, accountability, and people-driven development.

“His leadership style is both visionary and pragmatic. While others deliberate, he acts.

“While others promise, he delivers. From youth empowerment to women inclusion and community bridge-building initiatives, his interventions have left visible and lasting imprints across the constituency.

“More importantly, his approach to leadership is rooted in humility, purpose, and sincerity. In an environment where self-interest too often overshadows collective good, Onwa Idemili stands out as a symbol of people-first leadership, one that prioritizes unity, participation, and shared progress.

“His ongoing consultations across wards and engagement with diverse stakeholders reflect a leader who understands that governance is a collective responsibility. He is not merely seeking office; he is building a movement, one defined by hope, responsibility, and sustainable development.

“As the journey toward 2027 gathers momentum, the people of Idemili North and South can take confidence in the fact that the pace has already been set, by a man who understands the assignment and is prepared to lead with clarity, courage, and conviction.

“Onwa Idemili is not just part of the future of Idemili, but he is leading it.”
