Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has reaffirmed his support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, citing the administration’s economic reforms and recovery efforts.
Namadi made the declaration in Hadejia during the launch of the third phase of a large-scale economic empowerment programme initiated by the Senator representing Jigawa North-East Senatorial District, Ahmed Abdulhamid Malam Madori.
The governor said the initiative aligns with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which he noted is already delivering results through subsidy reforms, infrastructural development, and expanded social investment programmes.
He commended Senator Madori for complementing the efforts of both the federal and state governments, describing the empowerment scheme as a reflection of the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s commitment to grassroots development, economic inclusion, and self-reliance.
“This initiative is timely and reflects the vision of the Renewed Hope Agenda. Under President Tinubu, Nigeria is experiencing decisive leadership, economic restructuring, and renewed investor confidence. Jigawa remains committed to supporting this vision beyond 2027,” Namadi said.

He added that the programme represents another milestone in the APC’s drive to improve livelihoods, noting that it is the third major empowerment effort by the senator within two and a half years in office.
The event, attended by party stakeholders and community leaders, featured the distribution of items aimed at boosting entrepreneurship, job creation, and poverty reduction.
Items distributed included 11 vehicles for APC local government chairmen, zonal party leaders, and youth representatives; 85 motorcycles for ward chairmen; and additional motorcycles for security agencies such as the police, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and the Department of State Services.
Also distributed were 85 sewing machines for women leaders, 85 grinding machines for their deputies, and deep freezers for local government women leaders across the district.
In his remarks, Senator Madori reaffirmed his loyalty to Governor Namadi and the APC leadership, stressing that Jigawa remains united and focused on development.
He urged beneficiaries to make productive use of the items, warning that selling them would defeat the purpose of the empowerment programme.

“This empowerment is designed to improve livelihoods, create jobs, and strengthen our local economy. I urge all beneficiaries to make the most of this opportunity,” the senator said.
The lawmaker also recalled previous interventions, including the distribution of vehicles and motorcycles during the state government’s “Gwamnati da Jama’a” interactive forum, noting that such initiatives are part of his commitment to inclusive representation.
Governor Namadi, while appreciating the senator’s efforts, applauded his inclusive leadership style and urged beneficiaries to reciprocate the gesture by contributing meaningfully to community development.
The event further cemented Senator Madori’s reputation for impactful constituency projects and reinforced APC’s grassroots mobilization strategy ahead of future political contests.
