Former Deputy Senate President, Obarisi Ovie Omo-Agege, has charged supporters and party faithful of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to mobilise for a comprehensive electoral victory across the country.

He called for grassroots mobilisation ahead of the party's primaries.

Addressing a large and enthusiastic gathering in Oromurhu-Orogun, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, Omo-Agege confirmed that he has bowed to mounting pressure from his constituents to recontest the Delta Central Senatorial seat.

He clarified that his presence at the event was not to formally declare his ambition, noting that the announcement had already been made earlier.

“Yesterday (Wednesday), I yielded to the sustained appeals and yearnings of our people by offering myself once again as a candidate for the 2027 senatorial election to represent Delta Central.

“I did not come here today to make any new declaration; that declaration was made yesterday. I only deemed it necessary to return home and personally express my appreciation to you all for your support,” he added.
