Although the inauguration was scheduled for Thursday, it was postponed till the following day as a mark of respect for the deceased Assistant Publicity Secretary, Karamo Yesiro, who died a day after he was re-elected.
Ojelabi, who highlighted the challenges before the executive committee, urged the party officers to gird their loins to avoid the mistake of the 2023 polls.
He said: "We are coming on board at a critical period. We are saddled with the responsibility for the 2027 elections. How we are going to change the narrative of our performance in the 2023 presidential election should preoccupy our minds."

Emphasising the imperative of total support for the president, the chairman said: "It should be an appreciation to the man who has deepened good governance in Lagos, the man who created additional local governments, the man who created an opportunity for Lagos to record monumental development."
Ojelabi urged the exco members to avoid divisive and destabilising tendencies, including the promotion of a caucus agenda.
He said: “As exco members, you do not belong to any caucus or group. You are the symbols of our party. You should not attend any caucus meeting other than the APC meeting.
"The responsibility of consolidating lies in our unity. As leaders in your local government, you are to be the link between the state exco and ward, local government and state executive committees. Let us come together and work as a team. Work starts immediately."
The chairman also advised the party officers to acquaint themselves with their local government chairmen and know the terrain of their local governments
He said Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who has maintained an abiding interest in the party, would provide an enabling environment for the party exco to operate, perform and succeed.
Ojelabi directed the state legal adviser to give copies of the party constitution to each party officer as their working tool.
He added: "There will be training for all our LGA party officers for four days so that they can know the rudiments of their job."
