A pro-Tinubu support group, PBAT AGAIN 2027, has commenced early mobilisation efforts in Oyo State ahead of the 2027 general elections, signalling a push to strengthen political influence in the Southwest.

The convener of the initiative, Kunle Adeleke, said the project is anchored on continuity and national stability, describing the development as more than the unveiling of a physical structure.

Speaking at the commissioning of the group’s office on Obafemi Awolowo Road, Oke Bola, Ibadan, Adeleke said the move represents a structured platform for grassroots engagement, coordination and political organisation.

He noted that the initiative is built on the principles of continuity, stability and progress, aimed at consolidating ongoing reforms under the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, who attended the event, expressed confidence in delivering over one million votes for the President in the next election cycle, while encouraging broader participation from private individuals and non-politicians.

Adeleke described Oyo State as a strategic political hub in the Southwest, adding that the newly inaugurated office will serve as a centre for mobilisation, policy engagement and stakeholder interaction.

He outlined youth inclusion, grassroots participation and political education as key focus areas of the movement, urging members to adopt a disciplined, inclusive and strategic approach.

According to him, success in 2027 will depend on early planning, unity and effective execution, stressing the need for members to prioritise integrity, loyalty and collective goals.

He also acknowledged the role of party leaders, as well as the contributions of youth and women, describing them as critical to the success of the initiative.

He said the commissioning of the office symbolises readiness and seriousness, sending a clear message that the group is organised, committed and prepared for the journey ahead.

He said, "Today is not just about unveiling a physical structure; it is about reinforcing a political idea, a shared conviction, and a forward-looking commitment to continuity, stability, and progress in Nigeria. This office represents organisation, coordination, and grassroots engagement the very pillars upon which enduring political success is built.

"Oyo State, as a political nerve centre in the South-West and indeed Nigeria, carries a legacy of leadership, intellectual depth, and strategic influence. It is therefore fitting that this movement plants a strong institutional presence here to harness that legacy in shaping the future we collectively seek.

"PBAT AGAIN 2027 is not merely a slogan. It is a deliberate call to consolidate reforms, deepen governance outcomes, and ensure that the trajectory of national development remains steady and focused. We recognise that nation-building is not a sprint but a marathon one that requires consistency, courage, and clarity of purpose.

"This office will serve as: A hub for mobilisation across Oyo State and beyond; a centre for policy engagement and stakeholder dialogue; a platform for youth inclusion, grassroots participation, and political education

"As convener, I emphasise that our work must be disciplined, inclusive, and strategic. We must engage communities, listen actively, and build trust through actions, not just words. Political success in 2027 will not be accidental; it will be the product of deliberate planning, unity of purpose, and effective execution starting now.

"Let me also make it clear: this movement must be anchored on values, integrity, loyalty, competence, and service. Personal ambitions must align with collective goals. Our strength will come from cohesion, not division.

"To our party leaders, your guidance remains invaluable. To our youth and women, your energy and participation are indispensable. To our stakeholders and supporters, your belief in this cause is the fuel that drives us forward.

"As we commission this office today, let it symbolise readiness. Let it signal seriousness. And let it send a clear message-which we are organised, we are committed, and we are prepared for the journey ahead. The road to 2027 and beyond begins now. And it begins here."

Party leaders in their various goodwill remarks commended Adeleke, reiterating their commitment to ensuring victory for President Tinubu and all party candidates for the elections in 2027.

Speaking, the Oyo State APC Chairman, Otunba Moses Adeyemo, described the opening of the office as a renewed effort to galvanise support for the president, urging party stakeholders, leaders, and members to mobilise the masses ahead of the 2027 elections.

In his goodwill message, Senator Fatai Buhari (Oyo North) commended Adeleke’s initiative, describing it as forward-thinking and impactful. He noted that beyond political structures, the development sends a broader message to political actors and even non-political appointees to give back to society, support governance efforts, and actively contribute to the success and continuity of the current administration.

Also speaking, Akeem Agbaje, a chieftain of the party and governorship hopeful, emphasised the critical importance of unity within the party, warning against imposition and internal divisions.

He noted that lessons from previous elections made the need for cohesion, inclusiveness, and the emergence of credible candidates imperative, stressing that collective effort and mutual respect among stakeholders remain essential to securing victory in future polls.

Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, Sarafadeen Alli; member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Akeem Adeyemi (Skimeh); Senator Hosea Agboola; Hon. Fatai Adeshina; Hon. Muraina Saubana; representatives of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu; Senator Yunus Akintunde; Leader of the Igbo community, Dr James Oramadike; and other party leaders and stakeholders across zones spoke at the event.

In their separate remarks, they lauded the convener for the initiative, describing it as a timely and strategic move to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and build momentum for Tinubu’s re-election, noting that Adeleke has continued to contribute significantly to political development not only in Oyo State but across the country.

They also extolled the virtues of the President Tinubu-led administration, especially in the areas of the economy, education, finance, social development initiatives, and infrastructure reforms, adding that “a good turn deserves another”.

Earlier in his remarks, the Oyo State Coordinator of the group, Olatunde Sunmonu, described the commissioning as a landmark moment for supporters of the president in the state.

He noted that the office represents a firm commitment to the Renewed Hope agenda and provides a platform for mobilisation, engagement, and policy dialogue across Oyo State. He also commended the convener for his leadership and vision in bringing the project to fruition.

He said, “It is with gratitude to Almighty God and great honour that I welcome you all to this landmark event, the official opening of the PBAT AGAIN 2027 Oyo chapter state-of-the-art office. This location is more than the unveiling of its structure; it symbolises our unwavering commitment to His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's renewed hope agenda.

“This office will serve as a strategic hub for mobilisation, engagement, policy dialogue, and consultation of the gains of this administration across Oyo State.

“Let me use this opportunity to profoundly thank and appreciate the backbone and originator of this project, Ambassador Kunle Adeleke.”
