In furtherance of the gubernatorial ambition of the erstwhile Inspector General of Police Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, the Mohammed Abukakar Adamu Support Group Organisation (MAASGO), has concluded arrangements to hold a solidarity rally in Keffi, the Nasarawa State capital, on Monday.

Tagged: 'Mega Rally in Keffi for Ex-IGP M. A. Adamu Mandate for Governor 2027 Nasarawa State,' the rally hopes to not just galvanise support but sell the candidacy of Ex-IGP Adamu to the general public.

According to the itinerary of the rally, the supporters will all converge at the mega rally starting point at the Nasarawa State University, NSUK Gate, Keffi, from where the procession would move to other parts of the metropolis and beyond.

Justifying the need for the mega rally, Awal Nurain, a staunch member of the support group said the Ex-IGP Adamu has had a record of sterler performance and meritorious service all through his career in the police force and assured that he would do even better as a governor.

"I'm more than convinced that Retired IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu has what it takes to lead Nasarawa State as the governor. If we go by his past records of performance in public service as a police officer where he rose through the ranks to become the IGP, that is no mean feat by any standards," he said, adding that "The people of Nasarawa State will be lucky to have him as governor and that is why members of the Mohammed Abukakar Adamu Support Group Organisation (MAASGO), have no qualms at all throwing our weight behind him and want to rally support for him ahead of the 2027 general elections."
