The terrorists were killed in the early hours of yesterday, while repelling an attack on Kukareta, spokesperson of Operation Hadin Kai, Lt.-Col. Sani Uba, said in a statement.
The feat came barely 24 hours after airstrikes by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) killed more than 30 fighters from the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) along the Lake Chad waterways near the Kaniram Island axis in northern Borno State.

Also, troops of Operation Enduring Peace have raided a clandestine arms manufacturing site in Gwandanu Village, Langtang North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The operation, which was conducted about 5:00 pm on Wednesday, resulted in the arrest of two suspects, who were fabricating sophisticated firearms.

According to the Media Information Officer, Joint Task Force Operation Enduring Peace, Captain Chinonso Polycarp Oteh, the troops seized a cache of weaponry and industrial equipment used for producing illegal arms.
