Nigeria Tennis Federation President, Victor Ochei, said the events align with efforts to grow the sport.
“We want every registered tennis player to have a player’s number. This will help us build a comprehensive database and improve access to competitions.”
Ochei also revealed plans for a 10-year development strategy (2026–2036), targeting grassroots players from ages 4 to 18.
“Our target is to catch them young and build a sustainable pipeline of champions.”
