Music and entertainment enthusiasts in Abuja are set for a high-energy showdown as Lavish Loft Hospitality announces a DJ competition scheduled to hold on April 25 in the Federal Capital Territory.

The event, tagged Spin & Roll, will take place at the Lounge & Games Hub, Palladium Plaza, 4th Avenue, Gwarimpa, Abuja, and is expected to feature top emerging DJs competing for a grand prize of N1 million.

Organisers disclosed that the competition will also reward outstanding performers with additional cash prizes, including N300,000 for the first runner-up and N200,000 for the second runner-up.

According to the organisers, participation in the competition requires an initial registration fee of N10,000, after which interested contestants are to create a five-minute DJ mix and submit it through the designated registration portal.

The event will feature performances and appearances from notable acts, including DJ Romie, alongside a panel of judges who will assess participants based on creativity, skill and stage presence.

An organiser described the competition as a platform to discover and elevate new talents in the industry.

“This initiative is aimed at giving upcoming DJs the opportunity to showcase their skills and gain visibility in a competitive but rewarding environment,” the organiser said.

The competition is sponsored by Hennessy, Spotlight Groups & GO5 Stores with the organisers noting that the platform is designed to spotlight and promote emerging DJ talents within Abuja’s entertainment scene.

They added that interested participants and potential sponsors can complete registration through the official portal.
