Actor Adeniyi Johnson has cautioned the public about an impersonation scheme using his identity.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Johnson disclosed that an individual based in the United Kingdom has been posing as him online.

He shared a screenshot of a conversation with the impersonator, stressing that he has no affiliation with the person and does not authorise any communication from them.

Johnson clarified that the phone number used in the exchange does not belong to him, adding that he does not operate through a personal manager or assistant for business dealings.

He urged fans and the public to disregard any messages, offers or proposals linked to the impersonator and encouraged them to report the number, noting that such actions could harm his reputation.

"Scam alert. I do not know this person and or represent whatever what he or she stands for. Never used this number and for now I have no manager or personal assistant.  Please ignore chats or business proposals from him or her. I do not know him or her.  Please, let’s frustrate this number with calls and report it as well!", he wrote.
