Actor Kunle Afod has continued to mourn the loss of his colleague, Aunty Ajara, who passed away on February 5, 2026, after a long battle with illness.

She was buried according to Islamic rites. Aunty Ajara, also known as Lasisi Ajarat Morenikeji, was 27 years old at the time of her death.

Kunle Afod expressed his grief, stating her death feels unreal and promising she'll remain in their hearts forever.

Afod wrote, “It still feels unreal…Our beloved Ajara is gone, but she will live on in our hearts forever.

"With total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, we announce the 8 Days Fidau Prayer of our beloved sister, Lasisi Ajarat Morenikeji, who returned to her Creator on February 5, 2026.

"Kindly may us in prayers as we gather to pray for the peaceful repose of her soul. May Allah forgive her shortcomings and grant her Aljanah Firdaus. Ameen".

Her family and friends will hold an 8-day fidau prayer for her peaceful repose on February 12, 2026.

"Details are on the flyer. Thank you all for your love and support”, Afod added.

Aunty Ajara was a prominent Yoruba actress known for her roles in various movies.
