Adamawa South Senator Binos Yaroe dumps PDP

Senator Binos Yaroe, who has represented Adamawa South Senatorial District in the National Assembly since 2019 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has resigned from the party.
Yaroe, widely known in his constituency for organising free medical outreaches across the nine local government areas of Adamawa South, cited deepening internal crises within the party as the reason for his decision.
In a statement issued to journalists, the lawmaker said the PDP was drifting “irreversibly towards self-destruction” at the national level, leaving him with no alternative but to withdraw his membership.
“After many years of fruitful journey as a committed member of the PDP, it pains me that the party has elected to self-destruct at the national level,” he said.

Yaroe confirmed that he had formally notified the party leadership of his decision. According to him, his resignation letter was submitted to his ward chairman in Mbilla Ward, Mayo-Belwa Local Government Area, with copies forwarded to the party chairmen at the local government and state levels.
His exit marks the second high-profile defection from the party this month, following that of former Minister of State for Health, Dr Aliyu Idi Hong.
There are also indications that the Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, may soon announce his own defection.
