Nigerian cultural chanter and performer, Adekunbi Kosoko, has officially dropped her new single titled 'Màrikótikókó.'

According to a statement by her management, the deeply rooted track is currently available across streaming platforms.

Produced by Dejikeyz, the track reflects Kosoko’s distinctive artistry, blending traditional Ewi chanting with contemporary sonic elements.

"The release marks a significant moment for Yoruba oral tradition, as Adekunbi brings her soul-stirring vocal expressions and rich cultural heritage to a global audience.

"Màrikótikók is a testament to Adekunbi's singular gift—the ability to transform words into a living, breathing ceremony. Her vocal dexterity and emotional delivery have set her apart as a performer who celebrates people and life's most sacred moments through heartfelt eulogies and cultural expressions," the statement reads.

Widely recognised as the Ewi Queen, Kosoko has built a career around preserving and elevating Yoruba oral traditions. A descendant of the historic Kosoko royal lineage of Lagos Island, she is also the younger sister of Afrobeats star Adekunle Gold.

Beyond performance, she holds a Master’s degree in Music and Performing Arts Education from the University of West London.
