Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has said there is no room for distraction.

He spoke after inspecting projects across the state.

According to a statement yesterday by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, the governor directed fast tracking of critical projects across the state, warning against distractions in governance.

The statement said Adeleke at a meeting with key officials supervising projects across major towns such as Ila Orangun, Iwo, Ile-Ife, Ilesa, Osogbo, Ikirun, among others, directed officials to ensure timely completion of the projects, warning that governance tempo must be sustained in the best interest of the people.

“I’ve been carrying out secret supervisions of many projects.

I’m impressed with the performance of our team. I am aware of their sleepless nights.”

“We must sustain the tempo and deliver on these projects without distractions. I want to see Ila Orangun people driving on their new dual carriageway way. I want to see Ile-Ife, our cradle, emerging as a new city. Iwo people are feeling the wave of modernisation already.

“Osogbo is a great story already. But we must not relent. We should not give our detractors any breathing space. Our answers to their shenanigans should be more delivery of democratic dividends. We should not allow them to stop the good work.”

“So, I hereby direct my team to continue to be up and doing. Contractors are directed to double up. Osun people have strong faith in us. We won’t allow any contractor to dash or slow down the hopes of our people,” the governor said.
