The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Jigawa State, Bello Abdulkadir Fanini, has welcomed the Supreme Court’s unanimous dismissal of two appeals, which affirmed death sentences earlier handed down by lower courts.
In a statement issued in Dutse, Fanini said the apex court upheld the judgments of the Jigawa State High Court, as earlier affirmed by the Court of Appeal, in two separate murder cases.
He explained that the appeals, marked SC/CR/2020/69 and SC/CR/70/2020, arose from convictions involving Abdulmajid Hassan and Adamu Audu, who were found guilty of murder by stabbing.
