A Lagos-based progressive youth movement in the Agege Area of the state, the Agege Youth Vanguard, has endorsed two leaders for elective positions in the forthcoming elections.
In a statement shared by the group’s publicity secretary, Joseph Adigun, the candidates include Ganiyu Egunjobi as the preferred candidate for the House of Representatives, Agege Federal Constituency, and Remi Bello for the Lagos State House of Assembly, Agege Constituency 01.

Bello, a member of the Agege Youth Vanguard, was described as a grassroots representative who understands the struggles, aspirations, and vision of the people.
The group said the two individuals had demonstrated leadership, dedication to service, and an understanding of the needs of the people of Agege.
It added that their track records in public service showed they possess the vision, competence, and passion required to move the constituency forward.

According to the statement, Egunjobi, a two-term council chairman, raised the bar of governance, adding that his commitment to the development of Agege had set a standard for others.

The statement also noted that Bello had served in different capacities as a student union leader, youth council executive, and Speaker of the 2nd Lagos State Youth Parliament, where he led the assembly to amplify youth voices.
“Their track records in public service speak volumes, and we are confident that they possess the vision, competence, and passion required to take our constituency to greater heights.”
“In a bold demonstration of our commitment and belief in their candidacies, the Agege Youth Vanguard hereby declares its readiness to mobilize resources and collectively purchase nomination forms for both aspirants, as a symbol of our trust and unwavering support.”
The group said the candidates had proven their capacity to represent the constituency.
It added that it would mobilise resources to collectively purchase nomination forms for both aspirants as a demonstration of its support.
The group called on residents, youths, stakeholders, and party faithful to support the candidates in a bid to secure a prosperous future for Agege.
