As Nigeria marks Labour Day 2026, Xtralarge Farms & Resorts has unveiled plans to champion a nationwide shift from wage-based livelihoods to wealth creation through agriculture, with the launch of its Agriwealth Revolution Summit scheduled for May 1 in Lagos.
The initiative, positioned as a response to rising economic pressures and unemployment, seeks to connect workers, entrepreneurs and investors to structured agribusiness opportunities capable of delivering long-term financial stability.
Speaking ahead of the summit, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Xtralarge Farms & Resorts, Dr. Seyi Davids, said the event was designed to redefine the essence of Labour Day beyond celebration to economic empowerment.
“For too long, many Nigerians have remained trapped in cycles of hard work without corresponding wealth. Our mission is to help people move beyond salaries into systems that generate sustainable prosperity,” he said.

Davids described agriculture as a strategic sector with the capacity to build enduring wealth, noting that control of food systems translates to economic power.
“Agriculture remains one of the strongest pathways for building transgenerational wealth because food will always be business,” he added.
Also speaking, the Group Managing Director of the organisation, Dr. Mrs. Moji Davids, said the summit would address what she termed a critical gap between labour and wealth creation in Nigeria.
“Many Nigerians work tirelessly for decades yet remain financially vulnerable. Salary alone does not create wealth. Labour must lead to ownership, assets and sustainable systems,” she said.
She explained that the summit would highlight agriculture as a broad economic ecosystem spanning food production, processing, tourism, exports and manufacturing.
According to her, “Agriculture is one of the few sectors capable of creating wealth at scale while addressing national challenges such as food insecurity, unemployment and poverty.”
Organisers said the event would feature panel sessions with agribusiness practitioners who have built profitable ventures within the Xtralarge ecosystem, offering participants practical insights into wealth creation through agriculture.
The summit will also see the induction of a new cadre of “Agriwealth Ambassadors,” aimed at equipping participants with knowledge, partnerships and systems required to generate sustainable income across the agribusiness value chain.
In addition, participants are expected to access investment opportunities, business support systems and networking platforms designed to accelerate entry into agriculture-driven enterprises.
Xtralarge Farms & Resorts said it has empowered over 200,000 individuals through agriculture-based initiatives over the past decade and aims to scale its impact by raising a new generation of agribusiness-driven wealth creators.
Describing the initiative as a movement rather than a one-off event, Dr. Moji Davids said, “We are committed to raising financially independent Nigerians through agriculture. Labour Day should not only celebrate hard work, it should inspire wealth creation.”
