The Personal Assistant to the President on Community Affairs, Khadijat Omotayo Kareem, has organised Special Prayer Session for the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos.

The gathering, held at her Surulere Constituency Office, saw prominent politicians from various parts of the state teaming up with Muslim and Christian clerics to offer prayers for Mr President’s successful tenure and re-election next year.

The gathering sought divine guidance and continued progress for Nigeria under his President Tinubu’s leadership.

The highpoint of the event was the donation of N1 million to Mrs. Rukayat Onitolo, a school owner, who runs a free school for less-privileged children by Kareem.

She also gave a car to Sodiq Ogundare as a reward for his long years of loyalty.

Speaking at the gathering, the President’s aide said the initiative was borne out of the need to continuously pray for the nation’s leadership, noting that Nigeria requires divine intervention to overcome its challenges and achieve sustainable development.

She extolled the virtues of President Tinubu, describing him as a visionary and resilient leader whose policies, according to her, are gradually repositioning the country for economic growth and stability.

Kareem also highlighted the strides recorded by the President since his assumption of office, noting that key reforms and policy decisions have begun to yield positive results across critical sectors of the economy.

She stressed the importance of unity among Nigerians irrespective of religious or ethnic differences, adding that collective prayers and support for the government would help foster peace and national cohesion.

Clerics at the event offered special prayers for the President, his cabinet, and the country at large, asking for wisdom, strength and good health for the administration to deliver on its mandate.

Kareem called on Nigerians to support President Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027 to ensure the consolidation of ongoing reforms and developmental strides, while community leaders commended the initiative as a step towards strengthening inter-religious harmony and national unity.

Participants also lauded Kareem for bringing people of different faiths together, noting that such initiatives promote peaceful coexistence and serve as a reminder of the collective responsibility to pray for the nation and its leadership.

Member, Lagos State House of Assembly Abiodun Tobun, Managing Director Lagos State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC), Ayodeji Joseph, council chairmen, former Commissioner with Lagos State Local Government Service Commission Hakeem Bamgbola and others present hailed Kareem for the initiative.
