As part of efforts to enhance inter-agency synergy, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Zone 2, Olohundare Moshood Jimoh, yesterday visited the Air Officer Commanding (AOC) Logistics Command, Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Abdul Suleh in Ikeja.
The AIG, who led members of his management team to the Sam Ethnan Base, Ikeja, headquarters of the NAF’s Logistics Command, emphasised the importance of deepening collaboration between the police and other security services.
He noted the cordial relationship both services had enjoyed, adding that it helped in preventing and controlling criminality throughout his tenure as Lagos State Commissioner of Police.
According to the AIG, the police and the NAF have worked remarkably in the areas of intelligence sharing, surveillance, joint operations and patrols, which all helped in the reduced crime rate recorded in the state.
Jimoh said the visit was also to seek the cooperation of the NAF for continued partnership especially as his office gives him supervisory responsibilities over Lagos and Ogun states.
The AIG noted how both services worked to ensure that issues that could have brought friction among junior officers were resolved swiftly and amicably to prevent recurrence.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Olatunji Disu-led police to strengthen institutional synergy and improve investigative outcomes.
