Alia splashes N151m on  newly-promoted security operatives

Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iornem Alia, has approved the disbursement of N151.2 million to 30 security officers recently promoted while serving at the Government House in Makurdi, in recognition of their dedication and exemplary service.

The gesture saw 26 male officers receive N5 million each, while the four female officers were awarded N5.3 million each, underscoring the administration’s commitment to fairness and inclusivity.

The governor assured the officers of his support and the implementation of welfare-driven policies.

The officers comprise 22 police officers, one Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) officer, three State Fire Service officers, and one Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer.

So far, the total amount awarded to security personnel under Alia’s administration stands at N316.2 million, marking an unprecedented display of appreciation and setting a new standard for recognising the efforts of security operatives.
