The chairman noted that the syndicate’s activities had destroyed lives and opportunities and stressed that the damage could not be overstated.
He added that the syndicate had cut short many dreams, with some people imprisoned due to fake documents and others denied visas after careful embassy scrutiny.

Akinpelu emphasised that in Alimosho, criminal acts of this nature would no longer be tolerated and that touts pretending to be local government officials would be dealt with.
He cited a case in which an individual was denied a US visa because fake documents had been obtained in the council’s name.
The chairman urged residents not to deal with anyone outside official local government officers and reminded them that the council did not operate from its gates.
He advised residents to remain vigilant and cautious.
Onayinka assured the chairman of the team’s dedication to the task, stating that they were committed to flushing out the elements undermining the council.
He noted that the activities of the syndicate stained the local government and harmed victims’ dealings with embassies, schools, and other institutions.
Onayinka said the inauguration of ‘Operation Flush’ marked a decisive step by Alimosho Local Government toward restoring integrity, protecting residents, and boosting confidence in official documentation processes.
