There was heightened security presence at the Federal High Court in Kaduna, as operatives from multiple agencies were deployed ahead of the arraignment of former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, on alleged corruption-related offences.
Heavily armed personnel from the Department of State Services, Nigeria Police Force, Mobile Police Force, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) were deployed from around 7:00 A.M on Tuesday to strategic points leading to the court premises within the old Nigerian Defence Academy area.

Vehicular movement was restricted, forcing motorists into a single lane from the Ungwan Sarki axis through Kawo, resulting in early morning traffic congestion.
The heightened security followed an announcement by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) confirming that El-Rufai would be arraigned on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, before the Kaduna division of the Federal High Court.
