The Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Police Command on Thursday described the alleged security threats within Kuje Area of the FCT as false and misleading.
A statement issued by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh said: "FCT Police Command is aware of recent publications circulating across online platforms alleging security threats within Kuje Area of the FCT, particularly around Wowo Garage in Chibiri, Shadadi Village, Shetuko Village, Kango Village, and Passali, where a large presence of security personnel on patrol was allegedly sighted.

"Following a detailed investigation into these claims, the Command wishes to clearly state that these publications are false, misleading, and originate from mischief makers seeking to spread fear and panic within the community for their mischievous purposes".
While robust deployments and routine patrols are ongoing within the area as a proactive measure to ensure public safety, the police advised that residents should not be misunderstood as indicators of possible threats.
Adeh said the Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Ahmed Sanusi has also deployed personnel in and around the communities, to forestall any possible security breach and further reassured residents of their safety, and the Command’s commitment to the protection of lives and property across the FCT.
