Former Super Eagles defender Efe Ambrose has described his five-year spell at Celtic as the most defining period of his professional career.
Ambrose joined the Scottish giants in 2012 and quickly established himself as a key figure in the team’s defence.
Although he initially arrived as a midfielder, the Nigerian international eventually became a reliable defensive option, featuring both as a right-back and centre-back.
During his time at Celtic Park, Ambrose made 168 appearances and helped the club secure several domestic titles.

Looking back on his spell in Scotland, the 37-year-old said the experience played a crucial role in shaping his career.
“I will always cherish the time I spent at Celtic, and I love everything about the club,” Ambrose told The Herald.
“The truth is that without Celtic, no one would ever have known Efe Ambrose. I would not have achieved what I have in football.”
After leaving Celtic, Ambrose continued his career in both Scotland and England, playing for clubs including Derby County, Livingston, St Johnstone, Dunfermline Athletic and Greenock Morton.
The veteran defender is currently playing for Port Glasgow FC in the junior football ranks as he continues to extend his playing career.
