The All progressives Congress in Amuwo-Odofin Local Government has held a rally to unveil their consensus candidates for the Lagos State House of Assembly and the Federal House of Representatives in the 2027 General Elections.
The two candidates are Folorunsho Olusegun Olaitan aka Ola Western for the Lagos State House of Assembly Amuwo Odofin constituency 1 seat, and Moses Olanrewaju to contest for the Federal House of Representatives seat.
Speaking at the unveiling, Apex leader of the party, Otunba Dotun Adegbola said the gathering was to flag-off the campaign towards the victory of the APC in the coming election for the Lagos State House of Assembly and the Federal House of Representatives.
He said the party leadership unanimously chose both candidates for their steadfastness and consistency: “Ola Western is going to take back his mandate that was stolen in the last election and we are bringing Moses Olanrewaju for the Green Chamber and we are sure they’re both going to be victorious.
Ola Western expressed his delight at the turnout of the party members at the unveiling, saying he was not surprised as he has always been a grassroots person and according to him: “I know my people and my people know me.”

Olanrewaju on his part, said victory for him and Ola Western would ensure a consolidation of the effort of the local government chairman, Prince Lanre Sanusi, who has been undertaking repairs of the dilapidated roads in the constituency.
“If you observe well, you will notice that the chairman in the last eight months since he came into office has flagged off fifteen roads within the constituency and completed five; now if we have our members in the House of Assembly and House of Representatives, we will be able to synergise across board and build and consolidate on these achievements.
Women apex leader, Alhaja Memunat Ajao said the party leadership adopted the two candidates because the party allows for consensus candidacy and assured of victory both at the primaries next month and the election proper next year.
