A chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Dr. Akinola Awodeyi-Akinsehinwa, has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the appointment of Mr. Taiwo Oyedele as Finance minister.
Oyedele’s appointment was announced in a statement by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation on Tuesday.
Reacting to the development, Awodeyi-Akinsehinwa described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Oyedele’s expertise and commitment to national development.

He said the move further demonstrated President Tinubu’s commitment to placing competent and visionary individuals in strategic positions to drive the nation’s economic agenda.
“I commend President Tinubu for this strategic appointment. Mr. Oyedele is a renowned tax reform expert and a proud son of Ondo State, whose wealth of experience will add value to the Ministry of Finance,” Awodeyi-Akinsehinwa added.
He noted with Oyedele’s elevation, Ondo State now boasts of three substantive ministers in the current administration, describing it as a significant boost to the state’s influence at the federal level.
The APC chieftain hoped Oyedele would build on his impressive track record as chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms to strengthen fiscal discipline, enhance revenue generation and support the successful implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Awodeyi-Akinsehinwa urged stakeholders to support the new minister of Finance and prayed for divine guidance and strength for him as he assumes his new responsibilities.
He reaffirmed the loyalty and support of APC members in Ondo State to President Tinubu’s administration, pledging continued collaboration towards the socio-economic development of the country.
