Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos West Senatorial District have pledged to deliver a sweeping electoral victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, even as they canvassed the return of former governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, as the party’s governorship candidate.
The stakeholders, under the aegis of the Pathfinder group, made the declaration at a strategic meeting held in Badagry, where party leaders, grassroots mobilisers, and loyalists converged to chart a course for electoral success.
The meeting focused on strengthening party unity, deepening grassroots engagement, and consolidating structures necessary for victory at the polls.
Participants said plans had been mapped out to secure victory for Tinubu, while also repositioning the state for progress through the return of Ambode, whose tenure they described as visionary and transformative.
They stressed that coordination, unity, and sustained mobilisation at the grassroots remain critical to the APC’s electoral success.
According to them, the district is committed not only to maintaining the party’s dominance but also to expanding its reach through people-oriented engagement and strategic political organisation.

The call for Ambode’s return gained traction at the meeting, with several stakeholders describing him as a tested administrator whose legacy in infrastructure, fiscal discipline, and governance continues to resonate across the state.
Speaking, Director-General of the Tinubu, Ambode Support Group, Seyi Bamigbade, commended the stakeholders for their commitment to grassroots mobilisation.
He described the move as timely and strategic, noting that sustaining the party’s progressive ideals would require deliberate engagement and popular support
Bamigbade also lauded the Pathfinder group for its loyalty to the APC, adding that victory in 2027 would depend on sustained grassroots efforts rather than rhetoric.
Observers said the Badagry declaration signals growing support for Tinubu’s re-election bid and a possible return of Ambode, as consultations and political alignments intensify ahead of the 2027 polls.
