The APC Plateau State Forum, Abuja (APSFA) has declared full support for the second-term bids of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, citing what it described as a “new chapter of political collaboration” within the ruling party.

The endorsement, announced at a press conference in Abuja, also included a vote of confidence in the APC National Chairman, Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, ahead of the party’s National Convention scheduled for tomorrow.

Speaking to journalists, Chairman of the Forum, Yakubu Pam Gam Sakondong, said the decision was driven by the party’s expanding structure and growing national appeal under Tinubu’s leadership.

“As we approach the 2027 elections, APSFA unequivocally endorses President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to continue as President and Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang of Plateau State for their second terms in office,” Sakondong said. “Their leadership at both the federal and state levels reinforces our confidence in their ability and commitment to deliver effective governance.”

The forum noted that the alignment of Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda with Governor Mutfwang’s “Time is Now” programme provides a strong foundation for sustained development in Plateau State and across the country.

It further highlighted the performance of the national chairman, stating that since his emergence in July 2025, Yilwatda has driven reforms aimed at modernising the APC through technological innovation and social re-engineering.

"Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda has introduced several innovative reforms aimed at modernising and consolidating the party. Among these are the introduction of the electronic registration of party members, the promotion of youth-friendly policies, and the implementation of stronger women and people with disabilities inclusion initiatives," the Chairman noted.

The forum also pointed to the "historic victory" in the February 21, 2026, FCT Area Council elections—where the APC won five out of six councils—as proof that the current leadership is delivering results. They specifically acknowledged the collaborative efforts of FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, in achieving this feat.

Furthermore, the "historic" defection of Governor Mutfwang and his executive team to the APC was hailed as a masterstroke of reconciliation.

"This movement represents a new chapter of political collaboration and unity not only in Plateau State but across Nigeria," Sakondong added, praising the party's decision to zone the National Chairmanship to the North Central and specifically to Plateau State.

The forum then called on all Nigerians to join what they described as the "growing development of a united and progressive APC" under the current leadership triad.
