APC stakeholders deny leadership crisis, affirm loyalty to Yilwatda

The Concerned APC Stakeholders Forum has distanced itself from recent media reports alleging internal discontent and administrative lapses within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Forum, in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja, described the claims—which specifically targeted the leadership of the party’s National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda —as "speculative" and "unverified."

In the statement, the National Coordinator of the Forum, Dr. Dominic Alancha, clarified that the previous publication did not originate from the group and urged the public to disregard the narrative of a brewing crisis.

Addressing the allegations of administrative failure, Alancha insisted that the Forum was not the source of the grievance.

"We wish to categorically state that the said publication does not emanate from our Forum and does not, in any way, represent our position," the statement read.

While acknowledging that a democratic party will always have diverse opinions, the leadership cautioned against using the Forum’s name to lend weight to unauthorized "media attacks" intended to stir up tension.

Rather than criticizing the current leadership, the Forum threw its weight behind the reforms initiated by Prof. Yilwatda since taking office. According to the group, the National Chairman has made "notable improvements" in areas that were previously overlooked.

"The Forum recognizes the ongoing efforts of the National Chairman in stabilizing the party’s administrative processes, including notable improvements in staff welfare and organizational discipline," Alancha noted.

The stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to party unity, urging any aggrieved members to utilize the APC’s established internal channels rather than resorting to public disparagement.

"We reaffirm our commitment to constructive engagement, party unity, and the use of established internal mechanisms in addressing concerns, rather than resorting to the media."

The Forum then advised "party faithful and the general public" to ignore any further unauthorized statements, maintaining that it remains focused on the progress and stability of the APC under the current National Working Committee.
