Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State have commended what they described as improved security, infrastructure development and political inclusion in Southern Kaduna under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani.

The stakeholders gave the commendation at a rally in Zonkwa, where party supporters also endorsed President Tinubu, Governor Uba Sani and House of Representatives aspirant for Zangon Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency, Hon. Anthony Sylvester, ahead of the 2027 elections.

Declaring his aspiration at the rally, Sylvester pledged inclusive representation, youth empowerment and infrastructural development, stating that his over two decades’ experience in the National Assembly had prepared him for effective service.

He said his knowledge of legislative processes and constituency development would be deployed to attract projects and deliver quality representation, stressing that his ambition was driven by a commitment to serve the people.

Sylvester also lauded the improving security situation in Southern Kaduna, noting that peace had returned to many communities, with residents gradually resuming normal social and economic activities.

Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service, Jerry Adams, said improved security had enabled farmers to return to their farms and communities to regain confidence, attributing the progress to sustained security operations and the inclusive governance style of the current administration.

Adams described Sylvester’s aspiration as timely and strategic, expressing confidence that the APC would reclaim and retain the constituency in the next general elections.

He added that the large turnout at the rally reflected growing peace in the area, noting that Governor Uba Sani’s administration had strengthened inclusion through infrastructure development and political appointments.

Also speaking, Chairman of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, Hon. Bege Gaya, said Southern Kaduna was prepared to give overwhelming support to the APC, citing what he described as the governor’s commitment to the people and his broad acceptability across the region.

The rally drew party faithful, youth groups, community leaders and supporters, who reaffirmed support for the APC and pledged to work for the success of the party and its candidates in future elections.
