APC youth leader convenes inaugural Renewed Hope Conversations

All Progressives Congress National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel, has convened an  inaugural Renewed Hope Conversations at University of Abuja.

The event brought together ministers, heads of government agencies and over 1,000 students in a dialogue aimed at strengthening youth engagement with policymakers.

The initiative is designed to give young Nigerians direct access to decision-makers under the Tinubu administration, with discussions at the maiden covering education reform, job creation, entrepreneurship, digital innovation and youth inclusion in governance.

Students engaged government with questions on national development, voicing concerns and proposing ideas in what organisers said is an open and responsive setting.

Leading government delegation were Minister of Education, Maruf Alausa; Minister of Art and Culture, Hannatu Musawa; Minister of State for Regional Development, Uba Ahmadu; and Special Adviser to the President on Economic Affairs, Tope Fasua.

Also present were Managing Director of Nigerian Education Loan Fund, Akintunde Sawyerr; Managing Director of Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation, Uzoma Nwagba; Director-General of National Agency for Control of AIDS, Dr Temitope Ilori; Director-General of NAFDAC, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye; and Director-General of National Information Technology Development Agency Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi.

Participants received laptops, mobile phones and power banks in recognition of their engagement at the event.

Organisers say subsequent editions are planned for campuses nationwide.
