The APC Youth Network West Africa, formerly known as APC Youth Wing West Africa, has conferred its Life Patron title on the Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor, Tayo Ayinde, in recognition of his contributions to public service and youth development.
The honour was presented during a courtesy visit by the group’s leadership to Ayinde at Watercress Hotel & Suites in Ikeja, Lagos, where he was formally acknowledged for his leadership role and support for youth-focused initiatives across the region.
In a statement on Thursday, the group said the recognition reflects Ayinde’s “exemplary leadership, unwavering commitment to public service, and sustained support for youth development programmes,” adding that his efforts align with its broader goal of empowering young people across West Africa.

Responding, Ayinde expressed appreciation for the honour and pledged continued support for the group’s activities, while commending its role in youth mobilisation, leadership development, and regional integration under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The delegation was led by the Director General of the Network, Olatunde Gideon Igbasan, alongside key officials, including Regional Coordinator and Director of Operations & Logistics, Adewale Bolowotan; HRH Dr. Olaide Mayowa Jose, the Alaaye of Dome-Kwabenya, Accra; Chief of Staff, Oludare Igbasan; Director of Welfare, Salaudeen Shehu Tijani; and Director of Security and Protocol, Olawale Okunowo, among others.
The group said the visit underscores its commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in advancing youth development, leadership capacity, and regional cooperation across West Africa.
