A team of top Nigerian artistes and entertainment executives paid a courtesy visit to the Managing Director of the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC), Dr. Kayode Opeifa, ahead of the 2026 Valentine Love Train.

The delegation included celebrated musician Mr. Sunny Neji, Managing Director of Ojez Entertainment Limited, Mr. Joseph Odobeatu, and veteran vocalist Yinka Davies.

The high-profile visit formed part of the final preparations for the Valentine Love Train experience scheduled for Saturday, 14 February 2026, at the Mobolaji Johnson Train Station, Ebute Metta.

The artistes were received by Dr. Opeifa, who commended the creative industry for choosing the national rail system to host the annual Valentine-themed ride.

He said the partnership reflects growing public confidence in the corporation’s safety standards and service improvements.

"The 2026 edition aims to deliver an unforgettable experience while deepening public engagement with the rail service," Dr. Opeifa said

This year’s edition, organisers said, will feature an expanded entertainment lineup, including appearances and performances by Charles Inojie, Yinka Davies, Sunny Neji, and Segun Arinze. Guests will enjoy live music, comedy, a couple’s game show, fashion showcases, and special performances throughout the Lagos-Ibadan-Lagos ride and the Valentine banquet ball.

The Valentine Love Train has become a staple in the NRC’s festive calendar, attracting couples, families, and fun seekers with its blend of leisure, travel, and entertainment.
