Afrobeats star Asake was seen struggling to get close to the Black Stone during Umrah in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

A viral video shows the singer, whose real name is Ololade Ahmed, being lifted by people around him in an attempt to reach the sacred stone embedded in the Kaaba.

The massive crowd of pilgrims gathered around the Kaaba made it difficult for Asake to get near the Black Stone, a revered Islamic relic believed to have descended from Paradise.

The singer was surrounded by thousands of worshippers performing prayers and religious rites at the Grand Mosque.

Asake is currently in Mecca, one of Islam's holiest cities, for prayers and spiritual reflection during the sacred month of Ramadan.

Earlier, he shared a clip on social media showing himself offering prayers at Raudhatul Jannah, a revered prayer spot in Masjid an-Nabawi.
