Asake led a list dominated by leading Nigerian artistes, ahead of Wizkid, Seyi Vibez, Burna Boy, and Davido, reinforcing Afrobeats' position as the leading sound in Nigeria.

His track "Remember" ranked as the most-streamed song in the country, with "Lonely at the Top" also featuring in the top five.

The streaming platform credited listeners for driving its expansion and music consumption across the region, with Nigerian users creating over 25 million playlists in the last five years.

Spotify noted that the average Nigerian listener is about 26 years old, indicating a youth-driven audience.

Asake's success can be attributed to his unique blend of street pop, mainstream Afrobeats, and dance-ready songs, which have gained viral traction on TikTok and other social platforms.

He recently made history as the first African musician to top the global Spotify debut chart with his album "Lungu Boy."
