Bimbo Oshikoya has declared her intention to contest for House of Assembly to represent Ikeja Federal Constituency.

Osikoyoa declared her intention during a gathering of party members, supporters, and stakeholders in Ikeja, Lagos, where she outlined her vision for effective representation and grassroots development.

She pledged to prioritise needs of her constituents, promising to focus on policies to improve infrastructure, create jobs, and enhance social welfare in the constituency.

Oshikoya thanked APC for providing a platform that nurtures credible leaders and deepen democratic values, hailing party leaders for their commitment and sacrifices which sustained the strength and unity of APC.

Oshikoya declared in her intentions that the campaign is not built on division or attacks, but on ideas, capacity, and the genuine desire to serve the people of Ikeja with the vision of accountable leadership and quality representation, building economic opportunities for youths through empowerment, optimized infrastructure and urban development and many more.

She said the ABOSCO agenda is not just a document but a social contract with the people of Ikeja Constituency II.

She claimed the time has come to rewrite the story by giving capable, competent and compassionate women the opportunity to lead and serve as it is important to note that women remain under-represented in elective positions despite their immense contribution to the society at large.

The aspirant emphasized the importance of responsive leadership, noting that his ambition is driven by a desire to bring governance closer to the people and ensure their voices are adequately represented at the national level.

During the event, Oshikoya also used the occasion to express her support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid for a second term in office.

She commended Tinubu’s leadership style and ongoing reforms, describing them as necessary steps toward stabilizing the nation’s economy and strengthening democratic institutions.

Oshikoya noted that continuity in leadership would help consolidate the gains recorded so far, particularly in key sectors of the economy.

Oshikoya, while addressing the crowd, aligned herself with the endorsement, stating that Tinubu’s administration has shown commitment to national development and deserves another term to complete its agenda.

She called on party faithful and residents of the constituency to remain united and committed to the party’s success in upcoming elections.

The declaration event attracted a large turnout of supporters, party leaders, and youth groups, reflecting growing political engagement within the constituency.

As the race for elective offices gradually gathers momentum, stakeholders are expected to intensify consultations and strategic alignments in the coming months.
