While many foreign-born prospects are gravitating toward European giants, 18-year-old striking sensation David Osagie is looking toward to turn up for Nigeria.
The Union Woerle Henndorf forward has sent a clear message to Super Eagles head coach Eric Sekou Chelle and the Flying Eagles technical crew, saying he is at the ready to wear the green and white jerseys.
The versatile striker has been in red-hot form for his club, netting a staggering 35 goals over the last two seasons.

Known for his clinical finishing, Osagie possesses a rare technical profile as he’s lethal with both feet and dominant in the air despite his age. He is also capable of playing as a traditional No. 9 or a supporting forward.
"Goal scoring is my delight and duty," Osagie said. "I have closely followed Victor Osimhen’s performances. He is a massive motivation, and my dream is to one day partner with him in the Super Eagles attack."
Osagie’s commitment stands in stark contrast to recent trends. While news circulates regarding former Chelsea prospect Carney Chukwuemeka potentially shifting his allegiance to Austria, Osagie has never wavered.
Despite being born in Austria, his heart has been set on Nigeria since age 10, fuelled by stories from his parents and the legacies of legends like John Obi Mikel and Victor Moses.

Though Osagie missed out on the Golden Eaglets, the national U-17team, due to a lack of visibility, he is determined not to let the U-20 cycle pass him by.
With CAF and FIFA U-20 tournaments on the horizon, the striker is eager to prove himself in the qualifiers.
"I wish to take things one step at a time," Osagie explained. “My focus at the moment is to lead the Flying Eagles attack and to prove a point. “
He added: “The point is to contribute my quota to bring glory to Nigeria through the U-20.
"That will confirm my deep love for Nigeria as my fatherland. Thankfully, there are tournaments for the U-20s at FIFA and CAF next year, and the qualifiers will start this year. I pray to be part of the whole process and to help win laurels for Nigeria."
