The Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local council Development Area, Dr. Lukman Agbaje, has presented vehicles to lawmakers to strengthen governance and enhance service delivery within council.

Dr. Agbaje described the initiative as a strategic move to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the legislative arm.

He emphasised that the crucial role of the Legislative Council in the local government system, in lawmaking, oversight, and representation are fundamental to ensure that government remain responsive to the needs of our people.

“These vehicles are, therefore, not just assets, they are tools to support your work, enhance your mobility across wards, and enable you to stay closely connected with the constituents you represent,” he said.

He urged the beneficiaries to remain committed in their service, encouraging them to continue to discharge their duties with dedicated, integrity and a deep commitment to their development.

“Through cooperation between the Executive and the Legislature, we will continue to move our council forward and deliver meaningful progress for our people,” he said.

Leader of the House, Farouk Bamidele, expressed his appreciation for the gesture and assured that members would intensify effort towards delivering quality representation and improved service to the constituent.
