Eminent Nigerians from all works of life would converge on Efon-Alaaye, Ekiti State, on Saturday for unveiling of Julius Olaoye Ayodele Memorial Foundation.

The launching would be preceded by the 30th year memorial service at St. Michael Catholic Church, Iloro Street in the ancient town.

Ayodele, teacher, farmer and administrator, was a respected community leader held in esteem by indigenes and residents.

At the launching that would take place at the Church Hall, awards would be presented by the foundation to the best male and female teachers in primary and secondary schools, and overall best students in primary and secondary schools in Efon-Alaaye.

Students who excel in selected school subjects would also receive awards.

A statement by the organisers said Pa Ayodele’s life was a testament to integrity, compassion, and selfless service to humanity.

According to them, decades after his passing, his values and the positive impact he made continue to inspire many.

They added: “In his honour, our family has established this Foundation to sustain his legacy by supporting the needy, empowering vulnerable individuals, and contributing meaningfully to community development.

“The Foundation is dedicated to promoting humanitarian service, social development, and community empowerment through targeted initiatives in education, youth development, and welfare support.”
