Babcock is poised for a transformative partnership with Mr. Niyi John Olajide, founder of Cavista, a global software engineering solutions firm, and CEO of Axxess Global Partner, a world-class home healthcare technology company in Texas, USA.

Beyond tech, Mr. Olajide’s investments span frontier sectors such as agriculture, tourism, and the knowledge economy, alongside significant contributions to civic development.

President/Vice Chancellor, Prof. Afolarin Olutunde Ojewole, who received Mr. Olajide, commended him for his commitment to partner with the institution.

Professor Ojewole described Olajide’s presence as a sacrifice and a privilege, noting that his acceptance of the Vice Chancellorship offer was because of the latter’s positive response to his request.

“Together we can change the educational landscape for which Babcock and Nigeria would be a beneficiary,” he emphasised.

Mr. Olajide reaffirmed his passion for Nigeria and his commitment to supporting Babcock University. He praised the University’s advancement and development team, promising to mobilize world-class resources to strengthen the partnership.

“I am deeply passionate about Nigeria and black people and glad that we have the opportunity to partner with Babcock,” he said,

This collaboration signals a bold step toward positioning Babcock as a hub for innovation, research, and enterprise. With Cavista’s global expertise and Olajide’s diverse investments, the partnership promises to bridge academia and industry, creating opportunities that will resonate far beyond the university’s walls.

Mr. Olajide’s relationship with BU is not new; he was the commencement speaker at the University’s 20th undergraduate and 11th postgraduate convocation ceremony in 2022, underscoring his long-standing commitment to the institution’s vision and future.
