The Chairman of Bariga Local Council Development Area, Hon. Adedeji Bukola Omope, has been honoured with a Professional Fellowship Doctorate in Strategic Leadership and Public Resources Management by the Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics (CIPRMP), Ghana.

‎The prestigious recognition was bestowed on Omope following the Institute's extensive assessment of her exemplary leadership and impactful governance at the helm of Bariga Local Council.

‎The award acknowledges her remarkable contributions in the areas of infrastructure development, youth empowerment, women empowerment, ICT training, and other aspects of governance.

‎The Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics (CIPRMP), with its headquarters in Accra, Ghana, is an internationally recognised professional body committed to promoting ethical leadership, sustainable policy development, and effective public resource management across Africa.

Established in 1995 and chartered in 2005, the Institute trains and certifies professionals in corporate governance, management, and political integrity.

‎The honour further underscores the recognition of Hon. Adedeji's outstanding achievements and transformative leadership in Bariga. Notably, she has become the first female Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Chairman in Lagos State to be inducted into the West African regional chartered institute.

‎In her acceptance speech, Hon. Adedeji expressed profound gratitude to CIPRMP, saying: “I am deeply honoured to receive this award. I appreciate CIPRMP and the people of Ghana for this recognition. This award is not just for me, but for the entire Bariga community, our political appointees, council staff, and the good people of Bariga who entrusted us with this mandate. It serves as a challenge for us to do even more, as the reward for hard work is more work.”

‎This recognition marks yet another milestone in Hon. Adedeji's continued commitment to excellence, service delivery, and people-oriented governance in Bariga Local Council.
