Jacinta Thompson Blessing has been named winner of the fifth edition of the Irish Mixers Club Mixology Contest, organised by Bord Bia, Ireland’s food board.

She was awarded a mobile bar, Irish whiskey products and other prizes after impressing judges with her cocktail creation.

Other finalists includes Miracle Berezi who finished as third runner-up, while Eva Edomwonyi, Ibrahim Musa, Aghama Gabriel and Philip Newman were also recognised among the top six contenders.

The contestants were assessed by a panel of judges including Nizar Nasr, Lola Marcus, Kelvin Oduntan and Mayowa Idowu.

Bord Bia’s West Africa Regional Manager, Ese Okpomo, congratulated the finalists and said the competition would continue to mark St Patrick’s Day celebrations in Nigeria.

“The initiative aims to introduce Nigerian audiences to Irish culture while promoting Ireland’s food and drink industry internationally.”
