Former Big Brother Naija housemate Sultana has expressed appreciation following a meeting with Cross River State Governor, Bassey Otu.

In a post on X, Sultana praised the governor’s vision to position the state as a hub for the creative economy, highlighting areas such as culture, heritage, and social expression.

She noted that the governor emphasised the growing importance of the creative sector, describing it as a key driver of future development.

Sultana also commended his willingness to collaborate, stating that he offered her a platform to support the promotion of tourism in the state, particularly the renowned Calabar Carnival.

“His vision for Cross River State as a hub for the creative economy, spanning culture, heritage, and social expression, is both bold and inspiring. Hearing him affirm that “the creative economy is the order of the day” reflects a future where creativity is truly valued and supported.

“I’m especially honoured by his assurance of support and willingness to partner in my growth. In return, I expressed my readiness in offering my platform to support the state’s tourism drive and proudly position Cross River, especially through Carnival Calabar, among others, on a global stage”, she wrote.

Sultana expressed readiness to collaborate, saying, "The future is creative; the future is collaborative. And we're just getting started. Long live Cross River State.”
