In a communiqué issued at the end of its 3rd Quadrennial Delegate Conference in Ibadan and signed by its President General, Com. Kayode Alakija and Acting General Secretary, Com. Akin Okudero, the association reiterated its dedication to building a Nigerian state admired globally.  It thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for seeking intervention from other countries in addressing the nation’s security, economic and political challenges.

The association urged Federal Ministry of Labour, Employment and Productivity to mandate agencies of government to recognise SSASCGOC as the exclusive negotiating body for senior staff.

It advised the Federal Government to strengthen public institutions to guarantee and sustain rule of law in Nigeria.

The body called on the government to establish Statutory Joint Consultative Committee to reduce or eliminate management/union frictions during negotiations.

SSASCGOC, which expressed concern about high cost of fuel that had adversely affected the cost of living of workers, enjoined the government to initiate palliative measures to cushion its effects.

It advised the government to enforce Trade Union Act (Cap. T.14, 2004), to ensure clarity of jurisdiction.
