The BTO Unit-to-Unit for Tinubu movement has inaugurated ward and unit coordinators across Akoko North East and Akoko North West Federal Constituencies in Ikare-Akoko, Ondo State, as part of early preparations ahead of the 2027 general election.

The ceremony, which drew prominent political figures and party stakeholders from across Akoko region, was described by organisers as a strategic step toward building a formidable grassroots network for All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the next electoral cycle.

Addressing the gathering, the movement’s Director General, Bankole Mohammed, popularly known as Bankycare, set an ambitious electoral target of securing no less than 90 per cent of Ondo State’s votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.

The declaration follows a similar pledge Bankole made during the Ondo State governorship election campaign, where he championed what he described as “18 zero,” a clean sweep of all 18 local government areas for the APC. The target was widely associated with Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s eventual victory across all 18 local government areas in the state.

Bankole urged coordinators to anchor the movement’s strategy at the unit level, calling on them to identify party strongholds, map areas of weakness and pursue reconciliation with aggrieved party members as a matter of priority.

He also called on Nigerians to sustain support for the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, citing its stated contributions to the economy, education, infrastructure and Nigeria’s international standing, while also acknowledging ongoing reforms within the Federal Ministry of Interior.

The Director General further expressed appreciation to the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, crediting him with a significant role in supporting and financing the BTO initiative across all nine federal constituencies in Ondo State.

Speaking at the event, Pastor Ishola Moshood, a former State Treasurer who represented stakeholders from Akoko North East, told the newly inaugurated coordinators that unit-level party structures remained the backbone of electoral success, stressing that no victory could be achieved without proper organisation from the grassroots.

Other notable attendees included Hon. Awe Azeez, Hon. Ayegbusi Abacha and Madam Shayos Mother, a prominent women mobiliser in Akoko North East, whose presence was seen by organisers as a reflection of growing unity within APC ranks in the constituency.

As part of the inauguration, campaign materials including branded caps, T-shirts, cash gifts and other mobilisation items were distributed across all 329 polling units in the constituency.
