BTS returns with record-breaking album 'ARIRANG'

South Korean global stars BTS made a spectacular comeback with their fifth studio album, 'ARIRANG', selling 3.98 million copies on its first day, according to Hanteo Chart.

This achievement surpasses their previous record set by 'MAP OF THE SOUL: 7' in 2020, which sold 3.37 million copies.

"ARIRANG" is a 14-track album that showcases BTS's evolution as artists.

The title track, "SWIM," is a melodic and introspective song that encourages listeners to persevere through life's challenges.

Other standout tracks include "Body to Body," which features a powerful hip-hop beat and traditional Korean instrumentation, and "Hooligan," a high-energy song with industrial edges

The album has topped iTunes' Top Albums chart in 88 countries and regions, including Italy, Mexico, and Sweden.

The lead single, 'Swim', has also dominated iTunes' Top Songs chart in 90 countries, including the US, Japan, UK, Germany, and France.

BTS will perform at the 'BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG' concert on Saturday at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, streaming live on Netflix.

The event is expected to draw a massive crowd of 260,000 people.
